Beef & quince stew By Dapur Sinolin

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Cooking time: 60 minutes

Ingredient:

  • 20 ml of Sinolin cooking oil
  • onion, thickly sliced
  • 10 small red onions
  • cloves of garlic
  • quinces, thickly sliced
  • Lemon juice from 1 lemon
  • 500 grams of quality beef, cut into 3cm
  • 1 cup of tomato juice
  • ½ tbsp of cinnamon
  • 2-3 bay leaves
  • ¼ cup tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of wheat flour
  • 100 ml of water
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp sugar

 

Direction:

  1.  Peel and split the two onions, then slice the garlic. Peel, core and slice quinces, put in a bowl of cold water with a squeeze of lemon juice.
  2. Heat the Sinolin cooking oil over medium heat in a medium pan and saute red onion, garlic and onions for 5 to 7 minutes or until softened.
  3. Add beef, dried bay leaves, chili sauce, tomato juice, oregano powder, garlic powder, cinnamon powder, salt, sugar, wheat flour and stir well for a few minutes.
  4. Add lemon juice, stir in water and bring to a boil. Cook for 20 minutes or until the meat is tender. You can add more water as you wish if the meat is not tender enough.
  5. Add the quince and stir it carefully, then cook for 10 minutes or until the meat is tender and the sauce thickens, stirs for 8 to 10 minutes, or until browned on all sides.
