But if you are still learning how to cook, it is only natural that there are still events where food is too sweet, salty or even too sour and spicy.

  • If the food is too spicy, add sugar, honey or syrup.
  • If the food is too salty, add lemon, lime or vinegar to the food. Can also add sugar, honey or fruit jam to reduce saltiness. If you cook soup, you can add potatoes or tofu that can absorb the salty taste very well.
  • If the food is too acidic, add water and sugar.
  • If the food is too sweet, add something sour, like lemon, lime or vinegar, but little by little. For soup or savory food, if you can neutralize it with salt, you can add salt.
