Pepes Ikan Mas By Dapur Sinolin

The main ingredient :

  • 2 large sized goldfish that have been cleaned
  • 2 banana leaves

Ground spices

(it’s a bit rough):

  • 15 curly chillies
  • 8 cayenne peppers
  • 8 shallots
  • 3 garlic
  • 2 turmeric finger segments
  • 5 candlenuts
  • 2 galangal finger segments

Other seasonings:

  • 2 geprek lemongrass stems
  • 4 bay leaves
  • 4 pieces of orange leaf
  • Basil enough
  • Salt to taste (I mushroom broth)

How to cook :

  1. Saute ground spices with other herbs until fragrant
  2. Give salt, taste correction
  3. Turn off the heat, add the fish, go back and forth until the spices are fairly even.
  4. Arrange spices and fish on banana leaves. Add basil leaves. The spices are also put into the belly of the fish.
  5. Steam the fish until cooked.
  6. Grilled fish until fragrant before consumption.

Note: I don’t add tomatoes to the spices, I want to eat raw tomatoes. If you want to add tomatoes to the spices, please.
