Lupis with Kincah Soup |Dapur Sinolin

This meal is a traditional snack made of white sticky rice and wrapped in banana leaves. Presentation of these snacks with grated shredded young coconut. And given the melted Java sugar tablets.

Lupis is easy to find in the traditional market, but if you want to make it, it is really easy.

Ingredients :

  • 2 cups white glutinous rice
  • Banana leaves to wrap, cut into pieces (choose a long banana leaves, so it doesn’t break when boiling)
  • 4 pcs pandan leaves
  • Water for boiling
  • Salt to taste
  • Stick to skewer

Palm Sugar Sauce:

  • 150 grams of palm sugar, sliced
  • Water sufficiently
  • 1 lb pandan leaves

Dressing (steamed for 15 minutes):

  • Grated white coconutgh
  • 1 lb pandan leaves
  • A little salt

How to make:

  1. Wash the glutinous rice thoroughly. Soak completely in water for about 2 hours, drain. Mix with a little salt.
  2. Take a banana leaf, make a triangular cone, fill with sticky rice to the full, fold the leaves to form a triangle, pin with a stick. Do it until it runs out.
  3. Boil lupis in the pan If the water is almost used up but it’s not cooked yet add enough hot water.
  4. After cooking, remove and drain.

Palm Sauce:

Boil all ingredients until the sugar has dissolved and thickened, filtered, ready to use.

Serving :

After cold, peel the leaves of lupis then immediately dress with grated coconut, flush with palm juice. Serve.
